Truthfully, when I graduated high school, I wasn’t sure where I was going in my life. I knew I loved technology. In fact my parents would’ve argued I loved it too much. I would spend hours tinkering in any game I could to find secrets and make my friends wonder… (and I would harass them too.)

When it was time that I started looking into what I would be doing for the rest of my life, I was terrified. I knew it would be technology related, but the vastness of options was intimidating. So much so, that I almost considered choosing another profession. (Thankfully I didn’t.)

I vividly remember the moment I decided I wanted to do cyber security. I stumbled across a NetworkChuck video on Youtube, and in the video, he described how a hacker could use  blackeye, a Linux tool, to send a phishing attack, and it blew me away. It felt like I discovered a superpower that I knew I was capable of learning myself. And after watching video after video, I fell in love. I knew it would be difficult and that I would be learning the rest of my life, but that didn’t sound so bad.
